We have multiple companies set up in GP.  Each company also has a test environment.  I have found when the number of decimals are changed in the USD currency field in the test environment, the live environment also changes.  Has anyone had issues where setup fields are changed  in multiple companies?

Hi Robin,
When you say a different Test Environment, is it a TEST Company within the same server or is it a totally separate sql server?  If it is just a TEST Company, when you changed something on the Currency it will change the whole environment as Currency is a system setup not on a per company basis.

Gerald is correct, each Currency is set up at the system level meaning all companies on the same DYNAMICS instance have the same CURRENCY definitions.
The only way to separate this is with multiple system databases.
For example, we use DYNAMICSMC for all GP companies with multi currency and DYNAMICS for all GP companies that do not use multi currency.
For Testing we restore to a different SQL Server but we could use a DYNAMICSTEST on the same SQL Server.
