Hello all,
In MR, I have my entire Row definition and entire Column definition formatted as Times New Roman 12pt. However when I run the report, I get a variety of sizes and fonts. I have even trying copying the row information into a new Row definition, and it resulted in even more formatting problems.
Currently I fix the formatting in Excel. This isn’t time consuming, but it drives me crazy! How do I get MR to print the correct font and size?
Thank you!

Hi Amy.
Maybe hidden font settings are getting copied from the old definitions to the new definitions. When you copy/paste a Row Definition to a new Row Definition, try using Notepad as a middle copy/paste location. Copy all of columns A through J to Notepad; copy everything in Notepad; paste from Notepad to a new Row Definition.
Do you have this problem with a brand new report with a new row definition and a new column definition?
Let us know if any of this helps.

Hi Noah,
This partially solved the problem, but my column definition will not let me specify the wanted formatting. When I select Times New Roman, the font size changes to 8 pt. When I change the size back to 12 pt, the font changes to Tahoma. Very strange, but the loop continues. No matter how many times I change one setting, the other reverts.
I’ve also tried the Default font (which is set to Times 12pt), but with no luck.
Any thoughts?

Try copying the Column Definition the same way you copied the Row Definition. Copy to Notepad and then copy from Notepad to a new Column Definition.

I did copy the column definition the same way, and the new definition is where I am having this problem.

I would start a new column and manually add a DESC column and an FD column, run it. see if there are any problems, then go back and add the next column until you have all the columns added.

I’ve seen this before and it’s a pain to fix. Creating a new column definition might help but you may not be able to copy and paste as that will reintroduce the problem. You may have to update to rollup 14 if you are on SQL 2008/gp2010 or rollup 15 if you are on SQL 2012 or higher and GP 2013 or higher. Many of the formatting issues were fixed in rollup 14 and even more in 15.Sent from my iPhone

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I was able to jump back into this today, and I discovered a work around. I tried a multitude of copy/paste techniques, but each caused more problems than it solved. Instead, I inserted several lines and then retyped the rows that would not format correctly. I then deleted the problems rows. Fortunately this only affected a dozen lines, so this fix wasn’t time consuming. All looks good now.
Thanks!
