      Hello,

We have a customer agreement that requires us to set up a specific item id (kit) representing a group of components.  But, quarterly the components of the kit can change, but the item number cannot. Is there a way to manage this in GP?  We’re on GP 2015.

Thanks in advance for your insight!

We use KITS all the time.  From time to time, we need to substitute one of the components in the KIT.  We use the same KIT number but the price and cost would change.  You could just plug in the same price for the new component as the old one so the customer’s price would change.  It depends if you have a contract price.  We also record all unit sales at the component level for inventory and purchasing purposes.
