Anyone with experience using Jet Enterprise for their BI needs? Also looking at BI 360 and Calumo.Predefined GP tools would be a plus, but looking more for a data warehouse to bring in front end revenue and related statistical data.

We have done a number of BI/360 and it works pretty good. Would like to have seen them come out with the HTML viewer and sometimes they are a little slow on feature releases. If you want to use it for financial statements you may need to build your own scripts. We built our own because our clients want to see changes they post in the financial statements and a typical warehouse only refreshes nightly. If you are not going to use BI/360 for financial statements we are using more Power BI. Creating the data warehouse is easy and you have to create the SSIS scripts yourself anyway.
Never did Jet Express Enterprise because our implementations also used the budgting. The reporting is pretty nice and I think it is comparable.
Calumo is new I think. If it isn’t I just started seeing it and they just started calling on us. I didn’t see anything exciting enough to look at it.
If you want something that is a pure data warehouse and not financial reporting you can use Tableau, Domo, cloud9charts, etc. There are a lot of great ones. BI/360 offers the direct connect to GP which is nice, but if you are only going to use it for a warehouse to do reporting, do your do diligence and make sure you have your requirements because at that point none of these tools have an advantage. You have to write all of the scripts yourself.

Robert,I can offer a different perspective on Calumo. Our company has purchased it and we’re about to implement it now that we’ve upgraded to GP 2016.
One of the big attractions of Calumo in my book was that besides the fact that it’s an add-in for Excel, it will also create wonderfully functional web pages that look like Excel worksheets… I mean look exactly like Excel worksheets. We’re implementing it in its on-premise incarnation; but Calumo also offers a cloud-based solution.
The Chief Operating Officer, Warwick Leitch, we found to be very responsive and able to deal with even our most stringent requirements. I’ve never seen anyone able to do on-the-fly demos of his product using our complicated data as well as Mr. Leitch.
We’ll be using Calumo for budgeting, as a Management Reporter replacement, and for forecasting and KPIs.
Sincerely,
