Some how a translation, that was part of sales integration we use in integration manager was overwritten with a list that had Divisions, and a GL code in it.  I tried importing the integration, from an older version, but it still has the same translation showing in the integration.  (The translation converted a customer number from another system into the Dynamics Customer ID number.)

Not sure where the translations are stored, or how it got replaced.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Translations are stored in Destination Mapping section of your integration.  Open your integration in Integration Manager then go to destination mappings and highlight the Customer ID field.  Look at Translations on the left and yours should be show Yes.  Hit the ellipsis icon beside that to see where the translation info is coming from for that field.

Yes, that is what I have done, but some how the actual translation file is not what it should be.  It somehow shows the translation of a different integration.

Is there a way to import just a translation?

      Hi Pamela.
The Integration manager database is an Access database and has its quirks.
I would “convert” the database (there is an option to do that under Tools) and see if that solves the issue.  Make sure, once converted, that you “point” to the converted database (another option under Tools > Options).

      Hope it helps!

      Thomas,

I get a blank screen when I got to tools, integration and table import.  So, not sure where I can look at an Access database.  Is there a SQL table that it may be stored at?

When I go to Definition ID, nothing is their either.

      Thanks,

      Pam

      Hi Pamela.

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the Tools Menu within Integration Manager. My idea is that by converting your database IM basically creates a brand new (access) database and recreates all integrations from scratch. This usually results in a much slimmer database (in size) and there is a chance that it corrects the issue you are seeing on your translation table.

I have included a short video that shows you what I meant.

Let me know if that helps.
