Has anyone had experience with sending an integrated payment file to their bank via GP? We’re looking into having our bank print and send our checks, but we don’t want to have to send both an EFT file and a check file. They told us they can accept an integrated check file, but the only solution i can think of to do that is to create a report in SQL to match their format after all payments have been created in GP. definitely not an ideal situation.

I’m assuming the only option would be some kind of 3rd party plugin, but i’m not even sure how to start looking for that. We already own Kyriba (currently in the middle of deploying it) so not sure if that platform can help here?

Hi Mike, 

I work for a company that offers a third party solution to this problem. Essentially you’d upload everything you want paid from GP (a mix of ACH and Paper checks) and we’d take care of fulfillment on both file types. You’d have the option to add an approval stage for what would traditionally be a “check signer” position. 

Once the payments are approved, we’ll generate and ACH file and deliver it to your bank automatically for anything that needs to go out via EFT. The remaining payments will be generated as paper checks (with the signature attached), and printed and mailed out on your behalf.

While it’s not a native GP solution it should be quite affordable (as you won’t need very many users and our solution is priced per user), and our integration point within GP means you don’t have to have some clunky flat file step in between.
