Increasing speed of Period-End Payroll reports

Is there anyway that the Period-End Payroll reports can be run outside of GP, maybe in SSRS or something else? We have Binary Stream multi entity installed. At this time of year, my payroll users are telling me to process all these reports for all the entities, it can take up to 45 hours to complete. We routinely process close to 14,000 checks weekly. The total time that it takes to run the reports increases throughout the year. January the reports take close to 1.5 hours to complete. ☹

    Thanks

    Hi Howard,

Yes, SSRS would be able to run a report based off of any data in the SQL database. Unfortunately I am not familiar with the payroll module. If there is an out of the box SSRS report, it could be modified to bring in the specific MEM information that you are looking for. I have had to add MEM information to a lot of reports. If not, you might need to start from scratch. How are you collecting the data for your reports today? Smartlist?
