I have a client that can only launch SSRS reports successfully if they Run GP as Administrator. The problem is they are in a citrix environment and do not have the option to Run GP as Administrator.Ā Anyone know a workaround for this to force it where GP will always Run as Administrator? Thanks

It may not be that GP is the issue.Ā Since it launches in IE, you can have IE run as administrator (or Chrome).Ā To launch IE always as administrator, ?select “Open File Location” to locate the network shortcun in File Explorer, right-click this shortcut, select Properties:Advanced, Run As Administrator and then OK out of it.
If it’s launching in Chrome try setting Chrome to always run as administrator by doing the same thing.
If it’s not that, was SSRS set to launch from a port other than 80?

Zubin, This is a recent issue that cropped up last week. Do you happen to know which Windows update is the culprit?Ā I could suggest that they uninstall the update and see if the issue goes away. Thanks for your help.

Donny,
The issue is your Citrix sever does not have its most recent Windows OS updates but the windows 10 clients do. Probably set to auto update. Now they are inconsistent.
You may also see permissions errors just connecting to the published apps. RdWeb seems more sensitive to the issue than XenAp.
The best approach is to get your Citrix server(s) updated. If they are Win server 2012 or later.
Or you can uninstall the updates on the Win 10 clients. But they will keep coming back.
The culprits areĀ KB4103718 / kb4103727 / KB4093942 /kb4103721. Most these updates were around May 9-10, 2018.
Look in your Updates History for the dates under Windows on the problem client(s).
