Beat, there is one hack you can do to one of the files in the GP folder to get it to load a different web site.. but then you won’t have Connect any more, you’ll have some other fun web site on your GP home page.. like GPUG for example. 🙂 

Edit the file HomePage.xsl in c:program files (x86)Microsoft DynamicsGPXXXXBackground folder:

 

ConnectSourceURLs= change to a valid URL save file and re-open GP.. Have fun!

The server side issues that were causing connect to fail were resolved earlier this week.  Hopefully your Connect is working now.  Apparently Connect should be much more stable moving forward.
