Gang,

Our first attempt to install the YE update for GP2018 failed during GP Utilities.  I attached a copy of the error that appeared.  MS sent us a workaround involving SQL database manipulation.  The issue apparently occurs when users save SmartList favorites as shortcuts in GP.  MS advised they plan to fix it in January but I wanted to give you a heads-up.

MS took a while to respond to us so I’m not sure this was a known issue before our complaint.

Thanks for the heads-up, Don.  It’s a known issue, and I have experienced this one for several clients during year-end updates.  Their workaround does fix it, and they are ‘hopeful’ the January hotfix will resolve the issue.
