At the top of the BOM entry screen there should be a link called “Notes”. It is there that you enter the note.

ok so for anyone else — he is looking for inventory BOM … I tried the standard note window… but that didn’t work. the Report writer says Legend 6. Anyone else have a clue?

I would suggest modifying the report to add the standard note field!

Hi David,

I believe this option only works when using the Report Options Screen (Inventory > Reports > Setup) – not printing from the BOM screen.

In this screen – I’ve attached the image where you can turn on Bill and Component notes which then show the notes entered on each of those screens for each of the options selected.

Try it out – hope that helps answer what you are looking for.
