      We’ve been having problems this week with posting payables transactions.Ā  The posting process is taking significantly longer than normal.Ā  Each transaction is taking about a minute to post.Ā  Some of our batches have a few thousand transactions.Ā  Prior to this week a batch of 2000 or so transactions might take 30 minutes to an hour to complete posting.
      Per prior questions on this topic I’ve recompiled and updated stats on all payables tables.Ā  Also confirmed that pjournals is clear and that the related job is running.Ā  Also confirmed that our transaction log backups are running hourly and that temdb size is normal.
      We’re not seeing any slowdown on receivables or financials posting, and we normally have similarly large batches there.
      We’re on GP2018 and haven’t had any change to our environment in the past few months.
      I’m starting to dig through sql profiler for clues but any pointers or suggestions on where else to look would be appreciated.

      Hi

      ?Other things to look at are any changes to anti-virus programs, if your server is remote, how is the communication with the remote server, the bandwidth of the network communications, etc.

      GP is SQL driven, but a lot of the time slowness issues are caused less by SQL and more by lack of communication speed with the Server.

      Also, because you guys are posting a lot of transactions daily, just verify that you have the proper amount of space in SQL and that Server.

      Also, are your users on a Terminal Server, if you have more than 16 or so users at a time on a Terminal Server using GP then that will slow you down.

      Thanks for the suggestions.Ā  We have checked these areas and don’t find any issues.Ā  Based on sql profiler results the problem appears to be with Mekorma’s multi-batch print and post process.Ā  We dont’ have that enabled for any of our GP companies, but when any payables batch is being posted there are repeated calls to the MMM Logging Master table, MPP71508 in the Dynamics db.Ā  We’ve got a support ticket open now with Mekorma to see why this is happening.

      @JimĀ Harris,
      Did you ever get this resolved with Mekorma?Ā  We are having the same issue with AP batches taking forever to post and we have very large AP batches.Ā  We also don’t have multi-batch enabled but we do use Mekorma.

      Thanks,

      Yes, the problem for us was withĀ Mekorma’s multi-batch print and post process.Ā  The fix was to remove it from dynamics.set.Ā  It’s listed as
      7150
      MekormaMultibatchManagement

      Then removeĀ MekormaMultibatchManagement.dll from the GP Addins folder.

      Our posting performance returned to normal once this product was removed.
