?I have a strange issue that I came across with a client today.Ā They had a couple of payrolls that seem to not have the correct Employer Medicare calculated on them.Ā I can see that the employee had the tax withheld for both Medicare and SS.Ā However there is not a corresponding Employer Medicare amount accrued.Ā This happened on all employees in a company that is in GP and has MEM installed on it.Ā It seems to have happened on one payroll.Ā The next payroll all was good.Ā I thought that maybe they had the wages excluded from FICA tax, but then it would not calculate the employee portion.Ā Is there a setting somewhere that I am not aware of that would exclude from employer taxes?Ā Is there a place in a table that you can see if the wages should have been subject to employer taxes?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you!

I can see it on the Check Posting Register that it only matched the SS portion of the taxes on the employer expense side.Ā It did however put the correct amount in the SS payable account.Ā It just did not roll the expense.
Thank you,

?I opened a case on this and found that the calculations actually did work, however the match did not post to the GL.Ā So the reason is a mystery and we did a journal entry to fix the GL side.
