Are there any NY companies that use EDI Processing in SalesPad in the group?Ā  We are looking to see if we can visit someone to see it in action.

      Thank you,
      Pam

We spent over 10 Months trying to get Salespad EDI to work. In the end their EDI partner SPS completely failed us (and we were stuck with a large bill without a single transaction made). We ended up going with Data MasonsĀ“ Vantage point which is more expensive yo setup but has a much lower overall cost since you can avoid SPS tranaction fees. They got it running in a few months and it works far better than Salespads solution would have. We’re running about 100 orders a day (300 documents).
The biggest issue with Salespad was that all of the EDI process had to be done in Salespad… IE you could not produce an invoice in GP… Had to be in Salespad or Salespad couldnt see it as an EDI document. The other issue was SPS inability to meet our partners specs (even though they claimed to have 1000s of customers connected to this same big box retailer)

My advice… Keep looking, and avoid anyone who uses SPS… Setting up your own AS2 server is easy to do… But something Salespad does not support.

      Hi Pam,
I’m with Paul on this one.. years ago when I was working with EDI in my previous company, we brought the entire EDI process in-house, as the provider at the time sucked.. Same experience with SPS as Paul. We ended up using another AS2Ā provider that was offering the transaction mailbox for a flat fee and Scribe to process incoming and outgoing EDI docs. My suggestion too would be to look at DataMasons product.. which I had watched some demos, and from my past experience seemed pretty good.
