      Hi!

Is there a way to restore all security setup to their default state as in a clean installation? Apparently a “Power User” changed some Tasks and now we have some unexpected problems with Sales and RM users while posting.

      Is this possible?

      Thanks!

Along with Mariano’s blog, if you had/have a backup of the DYNAMICS system database from before the changes to the default security roles/tasks was done, you could also restore a copy NOT on top of the current DYNAMICS database but as something like ‘OLDDYNAMICS’ on the same SQL instance and DTS security information over from the following tables:

      SY09000
      SY09100
      SY09200
      SY10500
      SY10550
      SY10600
      SY10700
      SY10800

If changes were just made to security tasks, then the SY10700 table would be really the only one you would need to reset, as the SY10600 would be the one that holds the security role information.

SY10500 is a list of what security roles assigned to each user in each company database and the SY10800 tables are the alternate/modified forms and reports security tables.

      Just FYI…………..

      Thanks
