I’m trying to add a new company shipping method using Tools>Setup>Company>Shipping Method and I get the error “Cannot access this form because the dictionary containing it is not loaded.” when trying to do so in one particular company.Ā All other Company sub menu tasks work without error for that company.Ā If I switch to a different company, I can pull up the shipping method form without a problem.

Hi Bob,
When I experienced that issue is that it is attempting to access a modified form, in your settings. As “SA” We had toĀ look in the Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports window for the ‘Customer Maintenance’ window. We had only the ‘Microsoft Dynamics GP’ option available but it wasn’t marked. Once we marked it, we were able to access this window without errors.
This probably indicates that you have not given yourself or the new user access in modified forms and reports to either a modified report or customization to that form in GP.Ā Ā Ā Check the user security access to the company and then check the user security to make sure that whatever modified forms and reports profile they are assigned to has access to the modifications on that form in the new company.
Let me know if you have any questions.Ā

Looks like you have security (as per the Modified Alternate Forms and Reports ID) pointing to a version of the form that is not actually loaded.
This can be an alternate version for a dictionary that is not loaded or a modified version which does not exist in the custom forms dictionary for that product on the current workstation.
I would suggest making sure you have all dictionaries and all customisations loaded on all machines and then running the reconcile process on the security tables to clean up any invalid references.
Thanks
David
PS: GP Power Tools Security Profiler would have been able to tell exactly what dictionary it was looking for. http://WinthropDC.com/GPPT
