I am having issues deleting inactive employees.  I get a message, that “Cannot Delete.  Data exists for this employee ID”.  I have archived the employee in HR, and removed historical payroll transactions in payroll.  The report that shows, shows Dictionary ID HRMSS, and Table name APR Payroll Pay Code Master Companion.

Where do I remove this information, for the inactive employee, so I can delete?

If you truly want to remove them, checkout the ‘remove inactive records’ option under Payroll/Utilities.

I would check this against a TEST company to make sure it is doing what you need it to do.

      In product information:
Use the Remove Inactive Records window to remove inactive employee records, as well their corresponding history records.

If you’re using Human Resources, removing inactive records in Payroll will also remove inactive records in Human Resources. If you’re using Direct Deposit, removing inactive employee records will also remove records of employees that were marked as inactive in the Employee Direct Deposit Maintenance window.

Removing inactive employee records will permanently delete information needed in creating your year-end wage file. If you still plan to create a year-end wage file, be sure to reactivate the employees first before choosing to remove inactive records.

Don’t remove inactive employee records until you’ve printed all government statements and reports for that year. Once inactive employee records are removed, you won’t be able to reprint statements and reports for that year.

      I hope that helps!

      Pamela,

What Shawn said :-). But, for general information, that is the APR00400 table in the company database.

      Hope this helps!
