      Hi there,Ā

I am trying to generate customer statement and trying not to display zero dollar balance from the output. All i am looking for is open outstanding invoices that customer still needs to pay. Please advise what criteria i should select to get me the output of outstanding balance?Ā

      Thanks!Ā

      HI Sunaina,

Here’s a screenshot from GP Help re: ‘Print For’ of the Print Receivables Statement screen:
You can opt to remove the Zero Balance Due option

The Zero Balance due option only applies if the customer’s balance nets to zero. In order for the documents to be excluded, you’d need to run the Paid Transaction Removal utility in Sales. This moves fully paid documents from open to history.

Also, it looks like you may have a document 18-3-0033-02 with a fractional cent left as open, you’d need to take care of that first before Paid Transaction Removal will move that document to history.

I have to agree with Matthew here you will need to run the Paid Transaction Removal process and move the fully applied document to History.

      Hey

I’m in agreement that you need to take care of the tiny over or underpayments in your system and run Paid Transaction Removal (a misnomer, as it is NOT removing anything, but is simply MOVING paid transactions to history tables, it won’t do anything nefarious).

To help you quickly get rid of the minute over and under payments, as long as your customers allow writeoffs there is a Routine in Sales>Routines called “Write Off” where you can have GP quickly scan through transactions and set a limit of say, $1.00 to write off the rounding or minute over and under payments customers are notorious for.?
