Can someone tell me if you can change the payment terms on an open A/P invoice.  We are trying to take advantage of some discounts being offered but the vouchers had already been entered and we can’t find a way to get the system to take the discount on invoices already posted under a different terms code.   I did see where due dates and discount dates can be changed but not the terms code.  Thanks

You cannot change the terms of any given invoice.  You CAN change the due date in Edit Transaction Information, but that is all.  If you are trying to capture discounts you will need to void and re-enter the transactions.

If you have way too many invoices to do that for (I mean over 100) then you should contact your partner or dba and have someone generate a script to change the terms in the database.

However, they’ll need to be careful.  I’ve done this for one of my clients and there are a number of fields that will need to be updated for this to be successful.  I do NOT recommend this approach, only letting you know that if you go down this path, make sure that the staff making the change is very knowledgeable in the GP database and data flow areas.

If you have many of these to modify, I suggest you use the ‘mail-merge’ macro to change all of them in the Edit Payables Transaction entry window.
