      @BeatĀ Bucher

      Can we change the fiscal to calendar year by adding two months to the current fiscal year?Ā  Currently it is Nov 1 thru Oct 31.

      Thanks so much!!

      Shelagh?

      Sure you can.. you just need to go back into your Fiscal Year setup and add 2 more periods to match it until the end of the year to Dec. 31st. Your next FY calendar will have 12 periods again starting in 01/01.
      Like in this example below, just increment your # of periods from 12 to 14 and add more lines to the bottom.
      Fiscal periods setup are under Administration > Company > Fiscal Periods

      Thank you @Beat Bucher!

      I thought I read that somewhere here.Ā  I think it would be better to preserve the actual year number rather than doing a short year and throwing those year numbers off.Ā  We’ve already talked with the CPA so we will do a short year using reporting.Ā  I appreciate the quick response!!Ā  ?

      You may want to be careful with creating a short year.. GP doesn’t allow for twice the same FY and you cannot add any suffix to the year.. which will make you end up with FY 2022 going from either 11/01 to 12/31/2021 or all the way from 11/01/2021 to 12/31/2022..Ā
      Creating 2 FY’s in the same CY is going to offset your GP FY setup with +1 going forward and look odd.

      We are in agreement there…Ā  I just meant the CPA will have to pull data for a short year return.Ā  Ā I will have an 11/01/2020 thru 12/31/2021 year for 2021.
