We have a team that is having difficulty surrounding information that is entered in notes attached to Cash Receipts.Ā  They have determined that it is too inefficient to click the Yellow Note icon in order to read the related notes on payments to explain why either there is an over-payment or under-payment or any other manner of issue related to the payment.Ā  As such I have been tasked with finding a way to get the information from said Yellow Note to pull into a smartlist for them to utilize.Ā  Below is what I am referring to. The Yellow Note icon next to the receipt number after inputting notes, and the associated data within it.

Is anyone familiar with a way to pull this into a smartlist?

      Thank you!

      Hello .

I found an old article that has the solution you are looking for.Ā Ā Here is the suggestion/solutionĀ by Lesile Vail.Ā  I was able to test the recommendation and it worked as advertised.Ā  One issue is that this is only available in Smartlist builder by eOne Solutions.

      Hi all,

In SmartList Builder you can also simply select the Note Index field and then select the blue expansion arrow to the right of “Display Name”. The ‘Set Field Options’ window will open. There is a checkbox near the bottom of the window that, if checked, will display the note (words) instead of just the index number. Using this method you won’t need to link the Record Notes Master (SY03900) in the new SmartList.

      Kind regards,

      Leslie

      ?Hi Rebecca:

Brent is correct – but that is IF you guys have SmartList Builder.Ā Ā Ā  If you don’t have SmartList Builder you would need to use SmartList Designer and setup a view that incorporates the table(s) you are looking at and joining the Notes Index tables.

Do you have SmartList Builder?Ā  If not, I can send you how to build it out in SmartList Designer.

      Hi Jo,

May I receive a copy of your Smartlist designer instructions, or if you post it I can download it that way.

      Thanks!
      Jonelle
