??I am not sure what I am missing. I have entered a Kit item on a sales order for 40,000 and want to change it.

I am not allocating. Set to None and Separate fulfilment.
 
It did not matter if there was or was not Kit components.

Is this a bug?? or am I missing a setting?

Please confirm that you are saying that the only way to change the quantity on a sales order line for a kit item is to delete the line and add a new one? This seems like a lot of unnecessary work. Is there some functional reason why you can’t just change the quantity of the kit the same way you can change the quantity of any other item on a sales order line?
