I am having some trouble with batch recovery of a recurring sales posting. When I posted the recurring entry for an invoice, I did not have any problems. It is in the Sales module and I was able to post it all the way through to GL. It looks like everything went through fine.
The only issue is it showed up in batch recovery but we cannot recover the recurring batch for sales. The message in the batch recovery window says, “Table Updates Interrupted”. When I select the batch and click continue to recover, it pops up another message that says, “Batch failed to complete posting. Use the Batch Recovery window to complete the posting process.” That is the message that pops up when I try to recover the batch in the batch recovery window.
I clicked on the button the says More Info and the message that drops down is, “A get/change operation on table ‘RM_Keys_MSTR’ could not find a record.”
Does anyone out there understand what is going on with batch recovery? We cannot use that specific batch until we can get this figured out.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi ,
The ‘More Info’ message is the key here.Ā
Somehow* during the posting process a record from the RM Keys table (RM00401) became corrupt or was deleted.Ā
Your level of knowledge & comfort with the tables & SSMS will determine how you proceed.
When this happens to me, I find the record that’s causing the error message, and rebuild the record in RM00401.
****Backups & other preventative measures should always be part of your routine when manipulating table data outside of the GP interface.***
Another option is to run Check Links.Ā This should rebuild the missing record as well, and you don’t even have to know which record it was.
****Backups & other preventative measures should always be part of your routine when you run Check Links.***
There are plenty of Pros & Cons about running Check Links…just do a quick search.
Anyway, if you or your dba have any questions, let me know, & I can provide further details.
* Somehow = happens to everyone occasionally!Ā Most likely due to a brief disconnection between GP & the database.?
Let us know what you find!

?The batch recovery process is very well written code,
but it is impossible to write code that will repair all the types of data damage that can occur from hardware/network errors and failed postings.
Sometimes you run into situations where you need to bring a consultant that has a solid knowledge of SQL and the GP data files to fix them.
When I fix corrupted data filesĀ my strategy is to take is to take a snapshot of the data before I “fix” it, and to simply compare the damaged data to similar undamaged data so I know what to fix.——————————
