I Wanted to share with GPUG users the following I recently encountered.

Error: While trying to configure Management Reporter 2012 data mart on a new install of GP 2018 I received the following error:

“Couldn’t retrieve the list of available databases: The connection attempt failed.”

 

Solution: Install Dexterity Shared Components 12 from old install disc, I used GP2013 download

HI all,

Not sure which release of MR you were trying to install, but MS just released a “CU 16 update” at the end of February, beginning of March that had a fix for the bug #3757515 Dynamics GP: Unable to create GP integration with GP 2016 Dexterity Shared components.  Might help in this case. ?
