We are a Retail company in the eyewear space. We are moving to a new ecommerce platform and will need to implement Amazon, Paypal and Apply Pay as payment types in GP. I was wondering if anyone had any experience implementing any of the listed payment types. Or if anyone knows of a vendor that can assist with these payment types.
So, for the ecommerce site, we will want to authorize the payment type and then send a capture once the order has “shipped”.
Looking for any insight or recommendations.
Thanks, Ruth.

I would consider using a tool like eOne SmartConnect to manage the integration from your ecommerce platform. This tool is user friendly and can handle almost any scenario. This toolset would allow you to interface orders as they are placed and then properly apply payments as the products are shipped. Additionally, if you would need inventory integration from GP (source?) to your ecommerce platform this could be done also. In fact, SmartConnect can be used for interfaces that don’t even touch GP. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out.

We just set them up as a “Credit Card” in GP like you would for MC-VISA, AMEX. DISCOVER. The fun part will be on the ecommerce side getting the authorization and then collecting upon “ready to ship”, but they should already know that part. If they don’t, find a better vendor. I had a situation where I had to teach them, which I had to learn it first…ugh! Smart Connect is a lot simpler to use than straight econnect.
