We are new to GP and so this is the first year we’ll be doing 1099s.Ā  We’re also using W-2 Mate to create the actual forms and FIRE filing.Ā  Please help me find instructions for 1099 production.Ā  On our old system we had a series of steps that went from creating a review report, making changes as needed, printing 1099’s, saving the file for future, and uploading to FIRE.Ā  Where can I find something similar?Ā  Thanks!

You can go all the way through the print, but the system does not integrate with FIRE. You’ll need to either write the report yourself or use a third party tool you can get at the office supply, import the GP data and then use the software to create the appropriate format for FIRE.
      Kind regards,
      Leslie

      ,
One of our customers used W2-Mate last year.Ā  I seem to remember the process was pretty straight forward, but she might have some tips for you.
      Thanks

Simple to use W-2 mate. That is what i use for all my clients. You just need to generate the 1099 file from within Great Plains Dynamics. Once created, then go to W-2 mate and you import and you done.

Takes about 10 to get into W-2 mate.
