      ?Hi,
I am looking for somewhere to get zip/postal code files for import into AX2012 R3.Ā  Does anyone have any recommendations?Ā  Currently need US, Canada, and Mexico, but eventually Europe as well.

      Thanks!

      Hi Liz,
I’ve posed this question before as well and I’ve never found a great response. I know US Postal service used to allow you to get these for free, now in most countries, to get a full list you seem to have to pay a small fee. There are of course unofficial lists you can grab off the internet. Typically, if we get a 2012 or d365 project for a client who was on a previous version of AX, we’ll grab the list from their older environment and use that to import at the start. Attached is a US only version fromĀ https://www.unitedstateszipcodes.org/Ā You should be able to paste this into the format you need for upload to AX2012. Hope it suffices!

?Have you tried pulling it down out of LCS? There are two zipped files (01.1.004.SYS Address Pre req for Legal Entities and 01.1.005 SYS Address setup). I have attached the setup doc along with the files.

      HI Liz,

We are using D365 F&O and found the Microsoft-supplied list of zip codes to be out of date.
We found a couple of solid sources for the data:
      GeoNames:Ā GeoNames

      Geonames remove preview
      GeoNames
      GeoNames Home | Postal Codes | Download / Webservice | About |
      View this on Geonames >

      Global Sourcebook:Ā https://www.grcdi.nl/gsb/global%20sourcebook.html
