I’m evaluating to use cluster picking of raw material and maybe also to use a customization to create the clusters. I like the picking user interface of cluster picking where we can scan one LP for and put the quantity in multiple boxes representing different work/production orders. But there seems to be no way to pick up an existing cluster using mobile menu items? The only way to work with clusters is to create and execute directed by Cluster picking. Anyone who has any other experience?

Found a solution. If you use a cluster picking profile with Generate cluster ID un-checked you get to scan/enter cluster id. Now you can pick up a cluster created by another user or customization.

Hi Bjoern,
we ran into the same issue, but on the distribution side. I agree this seems to kind of an incomplete processes. What CU you are on? We just upgraded to CU11 but cluster picking didn’t change.
So we are considering a modification as well. To my knowledge all that happens when a user collects work id into a cluster is that a record is created in the WHSWorkClusterTable and WHSWorkClusterLine.
I am considering making this a wave processing step. With that we would then also have to modify the Mobile device menu to look for open cluster work.
Just a thought and happy to hear what the community has to say.
