Has anyone had an issue with the Vendor Display Name of “FirstMiddleLast ” not working properly?  This is for Record Type “Person.”
About a week ago, we noticed the Vendor’s Last name being dropped off the display in the AP Vendor Table.

We have always used the default “FirstMiddleLast” for the Name Details. Now all of a sudden it is not displaying correctly.

If I change the Name Details display to “FirstLast”, it displays correctly. It’s not a problem to change the Display format, I was just curious to know why it changed all of a sudden. We are in AX2012 R3 CU12.

We tried this on one of our environments i.e. AX2012 R3 CU12. However, we are not facing any such issue. Can you please provide a screenshot so we can help you further?

?Hi Angna,

I have attached a copy of the screen shots from our Vendor set up screen. Everything matches to how we have been setting up vendors. It is just within the past 2-3 weeks that the last name is missing.  I’ve checked all the parameters and settings and they look fine. 

There are (3) of us who can set up vendors. All (3) of us are experiencing this issue, so I don’t think its a rights issue. 

I even checked with our IT group to be sure changes weren’t made to the settings in the Global Address book.

We have a work around, but I am just curious why this is happening.

?Right-click on “FirstMiddleLast” and view details. It’s possible someone accidently changed the set up on the name format.
