Does anyone know where the Vendor fields ‘created by’ and ??’created date and time’ are kept in Dynamics (i.e. entity)? Able to bring them back into anĀ ALL VENDORS grid andĀ it appears to be coming from the Vendors table, however, when I query the Vendors entity in DMF and Atlas, the fields are not present. Could it be a security issue or are they kept in a different table/entity?

Hi Eddie, In out of box D365, neither the deprecated vendVendorEntity nor vendVendorV2Entity has CreatedBy and CreatedDateTime included. So you’ll need to exptend the entity to add those fields.

Hmmm. I’m using D365 and see both Created By and Created Date/Time as well as Modified By and Modified Date/Time. Maybe we made an extension, but I don’t recall doing that.

The fields are definitely from VendTable. However the data entity may omit some fields. So follow Andrew’s suggestion and add the fields to the data entity. Also if you only need them on the “All vendors” list page, you probably don’t need to customize the data entity. You can add the fields through personalization for individual user(s).

?Thanks everyone. I know I can add the fields on the ALL VENDORS grid, that’s how I found the fields. Issue is I would like to use Atlas to bring this back in Excel as I have 4 companies to query and as you know the grid option is company by company. Having to customize the data entity to bring back fields that exist in the table seems strange to me, but I come from a relational ERP system and not used to MS “cloud” technology.
