Hi Everyone, hope all of you are doing well

I am wondering if some of you have had issues with the Trial Balance report

In one of the companies I am handling the Trial Balance is not showing correct balances for the last three months.  My question is if there something I can do to correct it?

When I run the defined trial balance using the financial reports is showing correct.

Hi Alexis,

Are you using Dynamics 365 or AX2012?
Are you using the Trial balance inquiry form/report or a report defined under ‘Financial reports’ (Management reporter)?
If you are using the inquiry form, try to rebuild the balances for all Financial dimension sets.
If it is Management reporter, try to reset the data mart database.

Thanks for your answer

I am using D365, and yes I have the issue with the Trial Balance Inquire form

I have tried to rebuild the balances from all the financial dimension sets, did not work

Also recalculated the periods from Account Structure, neither work.

The trial balance from the Management reporter is working fine.  I get all data trough it, correctly.

In the trial balance form can you check if you see any data when you select “Include Closing transactions in balances” and/or “show opening transactions in opening transaction column” checkboxes available from the Trial balance Column to display form on action pane.

Also when you rebuild the balances did you enable that in batch?

Hi Alexis,

I actually just had this happen to me as well – we reversed some transactions and although the detail was right, the TB totals were wrong.  We tried rebuilding and updating but the only thing that fixed it for us was completely clearing the financial set balances and then recreating.  I don’t know why updating or rebuilding alone didn’t fix it, but you might try that as well.
