      Hello,

Would like to suspend G/L accounts not used in >12 months in Dynamic 365. I want to know how I can download this data with the Account balances in Excel. After that will make changes and do mass upload to suspend these accounts. Any help on this?Ā

      Thank you

      Hi Kobe

You can use Data Management to export the entity General Journal Account Entry, this will export all GL transactions. Then in Excel you can look for accounts that haven’t been used and can suspend them in the Account form.

      Thanks,

To download accounts with balances you run a Trial Balance, which is under:
General Ledger > Inquiries and Reports > Trial Balance

You can set the date range on the trail balance. Save this output in Excel using the Office button in the menu bar at the top.

Once you have figured out which accounts need to be disabled you can use the Main Account entity to perform an update. I think you will need to include the columns:
      ChartofAccounts, MainAccountID, and IsSuspended.

      One more wayĀ
once TB is available for 12monthsĀ
download COA and use vlookup in Excel to find which acocunts are not being usedĀ
then use data management to update them to suspend
