      ?Hi,

We are looking for a way to prevent manual invoicing on a RMA and were thinking we could use the stopped checkbox on the return order lines. I noticed that the checkbox is grayed out on return order lines and was hoping someone could tell me why.

      Thank you in advance,

      Billie Jo

      Hi Billie Jo,

Can you indicate for what reason it should be blocked? Usually you have to define a disposition code, before you can continue with the RMA process. The stopped field is normally used on sales orders to prevent picking and invoicing.

      Hi,

Thank you for responding. There are various reasons that we may want to preventĀ or delay the invoicing of an RMA. ?We would like to use the check box the same way it is used on a standard sales order.

      Thanks.

      Billie Jo

Hi Billie Jo, Miss you bud!!!!

What AX2012 release are you guys in, R2 or R3? I believe standard is that the Stopped flag cannot be selected on the Return order lines. If on R3, you could look at alternatives like Order hold which can be placed on Sales orders and Return orders alike and are applied at the header level.

      Thanks
      Drew?

Hi Drew. Hope all is well. šŸ™‚

We are currently in R2 but going to R3 in a few months. I have been looking into that for R3Ā but was also looking into options for R2 as well.

      Thanks for your help.

?In AX2009, I notice that the default RMA pack slip posting query includes Stopped = No (as does the invoice), so you may want to consider that setting the Stopped field may have consequences elsewhere.
I’ve worked quite a bit with Sales returns and have not run across any reason why you should not be able to use the Stopped field (at least, in AX2009).
