      Hello,
First, I want to thank everyone for the help lately. D365 is a new beast for me (ERP systems in general are new to me) and I have had our D365 environment fall into my lap.

I was able to get print management setup so that invoices can be sent out via email directly from D365. The problem we have now is that there is no way to edit the body of the email, so our customers receive an email with the invoice attached and a generic subject line.Ā

Is there a way to either a: when you choose the option to send the email, have it launch outlook with the file attached (I understand that there are some documents that allow this capability) orĀ  b: customize the body of the email to at least have generic text, without having to go in and have custom code?

      Hi Justin,
Have you looked into the Organization administration module, where you have Email templates under the Setup section. These templates can be setup to include the body content and header subject you want to use. They can have wildcards as part of this setup to include fields like PO or SO number, vendor number or customer number, etc. as well as the “generic” body you want the receiver to see in the email.

      Hi Andrew,
Thank you for the response. I have looked into those, but from my understanding they cannot be used with sending of invoices, etc. Do you have any links you could share that might say otherwise?

This was discussed just a couple of threads above yours, with the title “Dynamic Subject with Print Management”
      Check out this conversation.

To help with the suspense though I will tell you there isn’t anything out of the box, and your pain is a common pain (are you listening, Microsoft R&D?)
