Our current practice when setting up routes is to change the run time to show 1 hour of work, and then how ever many widgets can be produced in that hour for process qty.Ā How does the accuracy change if you put how many hours it takes to run 1 widget?Ā Is it just preference or is there a reason why we have been taught this way?Ā Ā Our AX was implemented way before my time.

It can be done either way.Ā If you build a large machine and it takes several hours to build 1, then you should do it that way, but most companies can build multiple units of a product in one hour (or even sometimes one minute).Ā It just becomes a matter of decimal accuracy.Ā I have companies that change the Hours/Time to .0167 because they put it units (for instance feet) per minute which this would reflect.
