Removing Capacity Reservations without Rescheduling
It appears that there are only two methods to remove Capacity Reservations on a Resource.
- Enable “Delete capacity reservations”: Navigate to Production control > Setup > Production control parameters > General tab. Set the “Delete capacity reservations” parameter to “Yes”. This parameter is designed to remove the hours from the capacity reservations table after the Report as Finished (RAF) transaction is completed for a production order.
- Set “Update capacity plan”: Go to Production control > Setup > Production control parameters > Journals fast tab. Set the “Update capacity plan” field to “Yes.” This ensures the system reschedules the production order every time an operation is reported as complete
We would like for Capacity Reservations to be removed/deleted when an operation is reported as complete, however, we would prefer not to reschedule the Production Order to accomplish this. Is there another means to simply remove the Capacity Reservations without rescheduling?
