I have read several threads regarding regression testing tools for AX but can’t find a definitive answer or any additional details. Has anyone in this group used the AXeptance tool for regression testing in AX? Are there any other tools that are better? I’m looking for recommendations for a tool for our company to use as we prepare to migrate to D365 in the next year.

Dynamics AX 2012 Enterprise portal which is developed on web for 3rd party vendor/customer access and employee self service which can be thoroughly tested using Frameium (latest Selenium IDE automation by Testhouse) accelerator.

Hi Sally,
Just to add to some of the other comments, there is not an out of the box regression Testing tool for Dynamics ax 2012.  However there is for D365.

So you can decide if you need to do testing in 2012 or just once you are in D365.  While I don’t know about your situation, my initial thought would be that it does take time and effort to setup these tests.  And so you may just want to wait until you are using D365 to setup these tests.  And/or there are partners that have libraries of tests that they already have setup, that they can just adjust for any customizations you have to the base Microsoft code.
