      ?Trying to cancel a receiver but received the following error:
      “Transaction is financially closed and may not be split”.Ā  Has anyone else received this error and does anyone know how to fix it?

      Is it in a prior period? If so check to see if your financial period is closed under general ledger

      ?Receiver was done this month, so no the period isn’t closed, although my IT dept is saying that the transaction is closed for that particular item.

      ?Janet,

      “Transaction financially closed” typically means and invoice has been posted for that receipt.Ā  If an invoiceĀ has been posted for that particular receipt, you cannot make any changes.

      If the PO is not fully invoiced, you can add a line for a negative quantity to reverse the original receipt.Ā Receive that negative quantity.Ā  You can then add an additional line for the correct amount and receive that quantity.

      Please keep in mind that when you create the negative receipt, you must have enough inventory of that item to take it out of inventory.

      Jane,

      That is interesting.

      The only thing I can think of without being able to see the transactions is to check the SKU status of the items posted on the Product Receipt.Ā  Have any of theseĀ SKUsĀ had a StatusĀ change that would prevent future transactions from posting? It’s a long shot, but maybe worth looking at.

      ?one other possible is if someone did the settle open transactions without having the invoice

      What is your last inventory closing date , and what is the exact date of your fiancially settled transaction ?

      ?Thank you for the reply, yes I am trying to cancel through the product receipt.Ā  Although trying it again this morning, the system is only allowing me to select “correct”, either way, I get this error.
