      Good morning,
In testing the use of Product Attributes, I cannot get the new attributes I create to appear in the Released Product’s Product Attributes form.

      Steps:
I created a new Attribute Type (A Boolean called YesNo) and created a new Attribute called Criticality with the Attribute Type YesNo.
I made a new Attribute Group called Criticality Group and added the Criticality attribute.

The item I was going to test was already in a Category Hierarchy called Procurement, under a node called Inventory. So I edited Procurement and added a node under it called Engineering.
On that Engineering node, in Category Attributes section, II clicked Add and selected the Criticality Attribute.

I opened an item in Released Products, and in Product Categories I changed its category to the new one called Engineering.
Then opened Product Attributes, but do not see the Criticality attribute available to give a Yes/No value to.

Am I missing a step here?

      Thank you,

Did you assign the Attribute to the Product Attributes fast tab for that node in the Procurement Category Hierarchy?Ā  It needs to be done in Procurement & Sourcing -> Setup -> Categories -> Procurement Categories -> Product Attributes -> Assign your attribute “Criticality”.Ā  FYI you can’t use Attribute groups on Procurement Category Hierarchies.

      Anthony:

We ran into the same issue testing this in AX2012 R2.Ā  In order for the attributes to show up and be used in released products, we had to turn on the Retail Module.Ā  Once that was turned on we had no problem using the attributes.
