Definitely one of the more interesting questions I’ve seen on here. 

When I try to visualize crab production I see something like this:

 

Whether you catch/farm/or purchase them I assume they go from your inbound dock to a customer?

 

Is the process possibly= Catching> Weighing> Sorting> Cleaning> Cooking > Shelling> Freezing> Packaging> Shipping> Invoicing?  Probably with a few Quality stops along the way? And shelf life is probably a factor? Possibly Fleet Management?

 

Perhaps if you describe your business model a little more we could lend a hand. And which version of AX you are on… That said we don’t produce crabs here, we just eat them!

Actually, I think I ran across either official training materials or some white paper floating in the cloud covering catch weight functionality, and the scenario used was specifically seafood, though I think it might have been something other than crabs 🙂

In any case, I do think catch weight functionality, which MS generally considers aimed at “process industry” segment, might be applicable here, and not just because of the term…

Do you mean crab farming? I just want to be sure that you don’t just caught them in the sea. We find this kind of business with a lot of challenges just using the production or project native modules, so we develop a vertical to handle agricultural business, the vertical was already used for shrimps and tilapia farming, that I assume could be similar to crab farming.
