Hello Nazim, I often see companies establishing procurement categories with the same name as their project categories. As the procurement categories can be linked to the project categories there is no confusion or inconsistency. Is this what you mean? Best regards, Ludwig

HIĀ Ludwig We have Project categories created as main account. Then when we set up Procurement we use Project categories which is a main account linked Procurement categories. instead of naming convention we used GL account number, Is anything wrong with this or its ok please advice thanksĀ

Hello Nazim, Setting up procurement and/or project categories in line with your ledger accounts in generally not wrong. I saw a couple of companies who used a similar setup. The issue is, however, that the people who have to work on projects are often not familiar with ledger account numbers if not properly trained. If this works out for you then this is fine. Yet, please double check with your project managers and the people recording transactions on projects whether they are ok with this setup. Best regards, Ludwig
