      HiĀ
Since procurement categories are shared across multiple entities in AX

we have multiples companies, one company want and another dont want. Eg
      Fixed assets:
      -Computer
      -Furntiure
      -Office eqpt
      -Vehicle

      Another Co dont wont vehicle
      Fixed assets:
      -Computer
      -Furntiure
      -Office eqpt

Whats the best practise to delete or to inactive

If its inactive so when requestor will select category does it will be available to select

      please advise

      Thanks and kind regards

      Hi Nazim,
I will probably not be able to get this company specific view out of the box.
A possible workaround is that you create different nodes in your procurement category hierarchy that summarize the categories allowed to be used for each company.
      Example:
      – General node
Ā  (includes categories available for all companies)
      – Company ABC node
Ā  (only includes categories that shall be used for ABC company)
If this or similar workaround do not work for you, think about making a system modification.
      Best regards,
      Ludwig

We use a rule within the purchasing policies forĀ this, the procurement category access rule. We limit what categories are visible for our different business types though this.

Category access policy rule (form) [AX 2012]?

Does Category policy access rule apply to PO or PR only? I tried to limit the access to categories in PO by creatingĀ Category policy access rule andĀ Category policy rule in D365 for one legal entity but no avail, again all categories are displaying in all LEs..

Did anyone get a good solution for this?Ā  I am running into a similar situation.Ā  We originally set up our Procurement Categories and hierarchies with our main company in mind, and now that we are setting up a 2nd company 2 years later, we are finding that we cannot hide the Procurement Categories we created for Company 1, they are visible in Company 2 when they create PO’s.Ā

I tried creating a category access policy rule to control the categories, but like Stanka Gjeorgievska pointed out, this only works with PR’s and not PO’s.Ā Ā

I am trying the idea of the General node and having company nodes below it, but I am unable to move the existing nodes.Ā Ā

      Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      Thanks.
