PO Stuck

      We’ve got a PO stuck in our system from 2015.Ā  I’ve tried to delete the PO, finish the receiving process, unregister, etc.Ā  I keep getting the error that the item is on hold for transactions in Purchase Order, or that it has a status of Registered.Ā Ā 

      How do I close or delete this PO?

      Couple of things to check:

      1. Is the item on hold in the default order settings or site specific orders settings for purchase orders or inventory?
      2. Is the item on quarantine?
      3. What is the status when you look at the inventory transaction?
      a. If it’s registered, you’d need to reverse the registration provided no one has taken the inventory off hand (This can occur since it is registered on hand but financially it’s not received)
      4. Is the period closed in that you can’t complete the receipt?
      5. Is the location on hold / blocked?

      Those are some good pointĀ Genie. I just want to share that we had a similar issue at our company and it was simply because the item was registered. Since it was a ‘special item’ and had been phased out (stopped at all levels), we had to remove the stopped setting, count the item up, and then un register.
