      Hi,
I was asked a question today regarding the physical dimensions on the product.
      Product information management/Released products/Managed inventory/Warehouse/Physical dimensions

When these are entered they are based upon your company settings.
      We’re in AUS so we’re using meters/centimeters and kg/grams.
      My questions:
When we’re entering these what are the measurement expected by AX?
Are we entering in kg or grams, in meters or centimeters?
Is this a parameter controlled setup?

      Cheers
      Soren

      Hello Soren Rasmussen,

I’m not sure if this is allowed but I found a link with a couple of videos that seem to be what you’re asking. I’ll post it below. When I follow your path I see Lbs and Inches (I’m in the US), yours is blank so may be there is still some company set up required?
I’m no expert here just trying to help as best I can. Hope it helps.

      Thanks

If you are working with the warehouse management they likely you will want to setup physical dimensions for the products so that you can use the load planning functions for fitting product into a container, or truck for transport. This is important if you are going to be using the rating functional and want to…

      Hi Soren,

As Rob shared, you can set system units at Org admin -> Setup -> Units -> Units.  Select your unit and set the “System Unit” flag to yes.  Note you can only have one system unit per unit class, so you can’t set Inches and MM to the system unit, as they are both in unit class “Length”.

The Physical Dimensions form will then display the system unit of measure for Length and Mass unit class.
