      Hi,

I have successfully used the Routing Agent in two instances of AX365 and installed a network printer. I need one, because we use a document handling app for printing external documents. The reportDP needs printmediumtype screen to preview. and printer to print.

If I try and use the DRA now, I get two errors:
      1) version check failed (i installed the one from the link in AX365. before the reinstall I cleaned everything from the previous install.)
      2) if I search for the printers I get : “an error has occurred” and a message in Dutch saying something went wrong.)

Is there anybody that has this experiences and solved them?

PS I even cleaned the tables in AX365 (sandbox) of all records concerning printers and the routing app.

      ——

I found the problem, after digging thru all windows (pc) logs, there was a Proxy error after temporary “killing” the proxy, I was able to list the printers without any problems. So Solved.

The first error indicates that your D365 instance has been updated since you last downloaded the DRA application.Ā  Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it from the Network printers screen.

The second error I’ve also seen before.Ā  I cannot tell you the root cause, but generally it will go away if you signout within the DRA application, close the application, restart and sign in again.Ā  The latest version of the DRA app may also resolve this problem because I haven’t seen this error lately.

      Hi Niels,

I have had something similar when I set up the DRA in my environment. Can you confirm if you are running the DRA as a service or not.

Second step would be to confirm if the network account has connected to the network printer on the workstation/server that you have installed the DRA on.

Third step would be to check the account that is authenticating to Dynamics 365 environment through the DRA and connecting to the correct environment.

If the prior two steps are confirmed to be working correctly, then I would check your network settings – firewalls, proxy, etc.

As a note, I am running three DRA servers connecting to over 2 dozen network printers partitioned over geographic locations for both production and development environments.Ā
