I was wondering if Dynamics is capable of utilizing multi-level customer relationships for the purposes of billing, ar, and credit management.Ā Ā
For example we would like to have a single customer credit limit, but multiple billing locations – each with their own AR.Ā The billing locations would then be related to the individual end locations of the customer.Ā This is the customer relationship:
Please look into the Credit management feature in D365 Finance. There is something there called the Customer credit group that will allow what you are asking for. Below is a blog post I wrote about it. I have also presented on this topic several times.Ā
Kelly, that is a great post and good information and I have not used that at all!Ā Have you (or anyone on this thread) found where you can have a parent/child relationship where you can make the decision when applying cash as to which customer to use?Ā
There is something in Great Plains called National accounts, where you can bill one customer, but receive cash for a different (sub or parent) related customer and apply.Ā I have had this request multiple times and try to say that invoice accounts are the solution, but if you use invoice account/customer account, all financial transactions are still happening at invoice account (unless something has changed recently).
Thanks!
