For the past 3 days I’ve been having an issue fully loading my menu bar in morphX. It is worth noting that I have an .axc for anotherĀ environment on that machine and do not have a problem loading menu items there. Another developer’s AX config to my AOS yields the same issue- his environment seems fine though. The only out of the ordinary thing I can think of doing during that time is attempting (unsuccessfully) to set up trace parser on that machine.

      Ā

      Steps I’ve taken to fix/diagnoseĀ

      1. restarted client multiple times
      2. restarted AOS multiple times
      3. restarted the machine
      4. ran a full CIL and restarted
      5. closed out everything but AX
      6. ran 4 sysflush action menu items from the AOT (since I can’t get to tools to clear cache)
      7. cleared usage data/local ax app data and restarted AOT

      Hi Karli,
how are you opening your development workspace? The reduced menu bar is “normal” when you open it via the personalization form and the edit button on the information tab page. When I open it via Ctrl-D or Ctrl-Shift-W or the startup option -development, I always get the full menu bar.

I always enter via ctrl + d. This has never happened before.

I have seen this many times before, but I have never been able to figure what causes it. It must be a problem with the client itself. I don’t think it’s something you can fix from AX by compiling or refreshing caches.

The problem goes away for me if I close all open development workspaces and then reopen one.

What AX version and CU are you using?

      Okay thanks.

I was asking because this I saw this problem often in the earlier versions. I work with product development and as such I only work with the latest versions and it has been quite a while since I have experienced the issue.

But that’s probably a poor comfort for you at the moment.Ā

I am sorry that I can’t offer a better suggestion than just close all development workspaces.

This issue was resolved by doing a complete database restore from another environment. Thanks.
