Our D365 implementation leverages a series of batch jobs to manage many processes, as I’m sure many others do. This includes: back order reservation, order release to warehouse, packing slip posting, order confirmation, etc.
Due to the high volume and frequency of batch jobs that we run, notifying someone on an ended status is not productive, but we have seen a number of cases where the batch job will complete with an Ended status, yet still contain warning or error messages that we need to know about. These have created problems in the past for us when they go unnoticed, because we’ve had scenarios where a single bad order prevents other valid orders from releasing (bugs submitted for these).
What I’m wondering, is whether you’ve come up with any useful ways to monitor or review the batch job logs, aside from manually clicking through the batch job history for each job?
Thanks in advance
