      Hello everybody!
We are currently using WMSII in Dynamics AX 2012 R3, but would like to start using the mobile device functions in WHS. I have asked our partner and read some white paper if it is possible to move from WMSII to WHS. According to them it is possible but in reality I cannot se how it should be accomplished in a live environment. As far as I have understood you have “cancel” all sales orders, finish all production orders, count inventory down to zero and then the migration can be done. I cannot see that as a possible way.

What about you, has anybody made this migration, if yes, did you use the method above and can you tell me something about the result.

      Hi Henrik,

we did it last year at Lab Riva while implementing WAX in AX 2012 R3.  It was not an easy task and we used several custom developed classes and jobs to migrate the data and update tables that are usually populated with WAX related values.  After a few data conversion itérations in our test environment, we were able to put together a go-live checklist that allowed us to convert regular warehouses and on hand inventory to WAX without any issues and without closing all sales, purchase and production orders or counting inventory to 0 and bringing it back.  Unless you have good in-house expertise to do it yourself, you would probably want to ask you partner for resources to assist you in doing so.

      Best regards,
