What’s the purpose of setting “Statistical” Main account category. How it can be set up and use. Please can anyone share the documentation on this Thanks and regards
This is used to track things like number of employees, square footage of a building, production qty sold andor produced per month. These are just a few ideas. It’s an account you post to but it is not part of the same ledger as your actual ledger. You can then use these numbers with management reporter. I hope this helps. I don’t know if there is any documentation on this.

This is a good link for information on the statistical account set up
If you are wanting to use statistical account information like number of employees, square footage, etc. as an allocation basis, you cannot use the main account category Statistical. We set up our statistical accounts with a main account category of Expense and have a statistical offset account so there is no effect on net income.
